Yard hunt number 2 i the area of dirt work filling the canal GT-40 found, little glass bottle, ad this vial/test tube with a copper top and the cork inside the tube

Our house used to have a work canal to the old grist mill arcoss the road 1820's era, and when that property was bought the new owner did not have the water rights to keep the canal open so it was opened and blocked in the mill and so when we have heavy rains the remaining part of it fills with water and over flows into our basment as it can not make it's way back to the creek

Also trying to find info about that vial with the copper top is when i found the test tube holder

Just the basement with heavy rains dirt floor and hand poured concrete french drains are dirt and you see water in them flowing during heavy rains and is also level with water table

Pretty cool except for the water in the basement. French drains are a big help though.
