Yarnell, AZ update

I have several PM's but first an update. Fire-path is up near the top of the mountain. Several homes near 89 are cinders. Tim and I are back in the RV Park here. Ok here. No damage. Those that have expressed a desire to help with the clean-up... too soon. Only residences are being allowed back right now. All the people I know here are fine... except I don't know about Natalie. She lives in Glen Ilah. Sweet, 64 or so, beautiful person. Handed out cookies and candy to us and everybody two Christmases ago. I must check on her. Tim and I were interviewed by the Arizona Republic newspaper and Channel 15 (abc). I told her to tell Megyn Kelly of FOX news that she's hot! I took some return video that I gave to the cute 15 reporter. When I get my disc back, I'll post it. Thanks to all that expressed their concern in this tragedy. It means a lot. Terry

If the house you refer to is the one with the FLAG flying, STILL STANDING! The post made it but much of the open hillsides above it... scorched over. I am not aware of any homes or structures east of 89 burning. Most burned structures are west of 89.... out of view. Some near the road... in view, have burned to the foundation. Pity. Officer's keeping out GAWKERS at all the roads going west from Broadway (Main St). Several utility companies still busy. We have power and water but were told not to drink the water. TTC

A local (Phoenix) channel was reporting HUNDRED dollar bills in one jar... and a THOUSAND DOLLAR check! Hope it is going where it should! Tnx. TTC

Yes, I did. 19 fireman, probably 25 residence of Glen Ilah, maybe more. I think I'm entitled to a comment. There are more media here than residence, I'll bet. I was a police officer for 20 years... call it gallows humor, or off color, or whatever you like. I've been there, done that, many times in my career. There is really nothing else here to do. I live here. I thank God I made it, and my possessions are safe. I've done much crying the last week and will LET IT OUT! Now, you've said your bit, now leave me alone...( another propane tank just blew up and shook the RV). Gotta go. TTC

Terry, It just hit me wrong. I've been thinking of the victim's families. The mourning will never end.
I have had propane tanks filled there. Hope no one else was hurt. I guess everyone grieves their own

Eh, just me. I try to see other view points. As a police officer... and knowing what these guys and gals go through, they (and I) just have to VENT every once in awhile. Back in the early '70s, I went to a car fire in the inner city, Milwaukee. This guy put a LIT WEBER in the trunk of his Caddy to move a party to another location. The Caddy was ablaze when the Fire Dept. got there. I arrived in the squad to hear the firefighters yelling, "Ventilate, ventilate." They broke a window on the right side, one on the left side, and sprayed water through the car, without hitting the flames, while they laughed their asses off! Not funny for the owner, to be sure, but you had to be a fireman or cop to call it funny. Just the same, Lastleg has the right to question my comment. TTC
