Ye Olde "Hunted Out Site" Gives Up Another LC 1845.
We've been up and down this trail, literally, 50 times and always detected up and down. Why we never hit this thing is beyond me. Not in the greatest shape but you can make out the date. Back is better than the front. About 200 yds. from our little honey spot, across from another foundation, right in the middle of the trail that was the old road. This is a classic example of going over the same places again and again. Frost, rain, effects the way an object is sitting in the ground from year to year. One yr. it's on edge and you miss it, the next it's flat or tipped and you hit it. That's the only explaination I can give for this one. Coin was 6-8" down.
