Yellow grasshopper

This was a kinda cool looking grasshopper--he was yellow! My daughter took this by our front porch yesterday evening. Bet he would make good fish bait!

Josie was right down in his face and I was just waiting for him to jump! She would have hurt herself trying to get away !!

My grandpa told me they chewed tobacco, too. That's what it did was "spit" tobacco on you when you picked one up---probably what it really was came from the other end!
We need to catch some of these things and go fishing with them. One August before my grandpa died, he was catching these grasshoppers in his garden and fishing for bass with them. He was absolutely slaying those fish!
