yesterday one cent, today BIG GOLD!

So I hunted a new beach yesterday, very sanded in, and only found one lousy cent. Today, still discouraged, I put together my stealth scoop and head out with the Sand Shark to another ocean beach. It's 35 degrees out with an extra high tide so I had little expectations. I hit the beach, exploring some dunes, and then pop back out to wet sand and find some coins and then



my first gold. It's 14k and thick.

Is it a James Avery ring? If it is, it's called an "Adorned Claddagh Ring" on his site (cat. no. r-1301). Retails at $650. James Avery has a very distinctive mark, composed of the letters J and A on either side of a candleabra. Easy to tell. Very nice find, by the way. Avery sells for a lot more than spot, I can generally get about 70-80% retail for the pieces I've sold.

A claddagh certainly but says Stuller on bottom. I think one on ebay is $599 right now. This one is a little scratched on the hands but closer to $599 would be way better than melt value.
