Yesterday's 1897 V-Nickel

Yesterday's find, really. This isn't my first nickel of that persuasion, but it was very welcome, on the eve of the last day of hunting - as it started snowing the next day...!
The obverse is screwed, but the reverse is outstanding. So, it took a bunch of aggressive tooth-picking, in order to get a date off of it...! See?

Nice find, I know what you mean about one side looks better than the other. I guess it depends on what side is facing up or down in the soil.
