These are a few finds from yesterday, one looks like an arrowhead(non-metallic) just happened to be near a nail. using a Tesoro Silver Max. The one with white spots is a piece of odd shaped lead, key from somewhere, 72 penny, old lure(treble hook is long gone). Surprised really didn't find much except pull tabs. have to figure the area out more.

Bsmooth, I live near Ipswich...in Beverly, Ma now and hope to get out sometime soon...the history is here...I think you are correct... researching, figuring the area is the key... I'm sure things will pick up for you...look forward to seeing your future finds! Also, Ipswich has a place called the Clambake...great fish and chips there...onion rings, fries are all handcut and made in-house:). Highway 1A is a nice drive...Fall here is beautiful!

A Tesoro. They made some nice detectors. Im struggling to recall one I had, but it did have ground balance. They had quite a unique audio response to many things. Not heard it since, just good or bad. I never forget the one I had, had an odd buzzy sound on gold nuggets when searching for them amongst junk. Shame they are gone.

Its really buzzy allright, doesn't really discriminate very much, just finds every little piece of metal. I'll probably move to a Nokta Simplex, just hope the batteries last awhile.
Still haven't figured out about the possible arrowhead though. Does have strange marks on it though.
That piece of lead is strange too, maybe a crushed sinker?
