Echostar61 & I were gonna hit a local fairgrounds, but she suggested hunting a school in a nearby town that was going to be scheduled for demo. It sounded like a good idea to both of us so off we went. lol, we put in a pretty long day of MDing, about 7 hours or so & were both ready to call it a day.

All clad but 1 '48 wheatie.

Did find 3 rings, left is a cheapie, middle is 14K gold electroplated, and I believe the one on the right is real turquois & silver, no markings.

All in all another fun day outside :) It was rather windy & at times a bit of a struggle just to stand. Gonna have to plan another hunt next week, sunny, dry & low 60's ;) Pretty cool having met someone on Tnet who lives nearby which make sharing hunts possible 8)

Looks like a lot of good battery money, and some great looking rings, WTG!!!
Continued Good luck, & Happy hunting~

Looks like a nice silver ring! Those old schools are a great place to hunt. Is it an old school....make sure you rhunt it after they tear it down....so many schools rebuilt on top of old school site.
Great finds.

Thanks all..... I think we both made our "battery money" back that day ;D

Terri- My pleasure, hopefully we'll have a long fall & can still get in several hunts before the snow flies. Won't be long though I'll be fillin' the thermos with coffee instead of iced tea ;D We'll get together & hunt again next week!

Gypsy- I really don't know any of the history behind the school, it was a location Terri found out about from a neighbor (I think). If I remember correctly (and half the time it doesn't ::)) Terri was told the school was built in the mis 20's, though we couldn't find anything to prove/disprove it. My thoughts were it was more recent, possibly the 50's simply due to the design & structure.
