Yesterday's "Soap" review
Nana and I hunted a yard behind where an old laundromat had once been. We just knew we would find some old coins, nada. I did find a cool old token though. At first we thought it was for soap at the laundromat but it's for "cake" soap.
Someone had previously posted one of these on the Token & Tags section and as always PBK gave excellent information.

Probably mid to late 1920's. Peet Bros. soap company merged with U.S. Palmolive Co. in 1926, forming the Palmolive-Peet Co., which two years later combined with Colgate Co. to create the Colgate-Palmolive-Peet Company. Since the token doesn't have the name Colgate on it, I'm guessing it was issued prior to the second merger.
While we were hunting the yard a truck pulled up across the street at an old warehouse (1935 the owner said). Got permission to hunt all behind their furniture store and around their warehouse but only found junk. I did bring punkin' home something though. It was between the warehouse and an old machine shop.
