:hello:Hi again,

Was it ever hot out there this morning8-)

potd-meltingicecreamtruck.webp..got in 2 hrs. of hunting before I started to melt.

Hunted only in rocky areas close to shoreline.

This ring ( I believe it is often respectfully referred to as a "Honker") ...was found nestled between several medium sized rocks about 6 " down....gave off a nice , solid high sound.

At first sight, I thought it was a heavy bolt, but on closer examination after pushing the heavy mud out of the center , I realized that it was a tarnished ring.

The stamping reads " Schubart 925". Mary Schubart ( Amityville , NY) is a relative newcomer to the jewelry business. She is a painter and a sculptor, and only recently began to produce jewelry.

Had never heard of this jeweler before..I believe it is considered "high end", but I could be wrong.

Here's pics of the finds

Thank you for looking

Keep cool!

Lorraine

That thing is HUGE! Congratulations.

IMG250.webpWow- congrats! And I thought the one I found yesterday was big and heavy. Yours is double the weight of mine. Nice chunk of silver!

That ring is GIANORMOUS! Great clean up job too.

Better hope PETA aren't trolling this site. I hope the kitten can still walk.

I didn't need my weight belt after I dug this up....took me 15 minutes as well.

And yes, it is a sword logo stamped into it.
