You ain't getting these apples

My cat watches the squirrels & bunny's nibble on the fallen apples out the window for hours, so when I let him out he likes to mess up their day by guarding the apples from them no good for nothing varmints. You can hear the squirrels cussing at him sometimes from up in the trees.

Mama's going to make apple butter here soon. Had apple crisp last week... All gone now. I still have some on the tree I may make some cider out of. Need to get up with a stepladder to get those.

His real name is Rizpah (riz'-pa, "coal", "hot stone") Rizpah - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia ... He came with that name. My youngest daughter came home with him when her friends cat had the litter and her friend gave him that name. I think he's getting close to 10 maybe more?? years old now? We just call him Rizzy or Riz-Cat.

 Thank you tamrock for enlightening me on the meaning/origin of "Rizzy's" name, very interesting & sure fits his color! My cat's have names, but they always just end up being called "puddy" lol...:icon_cat:

Pretty cat. Looks to be quite large! Yeah, all of the animals around here have names. My little chi/terrier is Macy, the black lab/Aussie cattle dog is Coco, the Russian blue cat is Smokey, and the mixed breed cat is Sassy. The friend that lives next to us has a cat, Silver. She also feeds 3 'strays' that come over for eats. Actually they belong to 2 of the neighbors, but like the attention they get from her!

Hey tamrock!! Neat name and cat!! Doing well down here in the swealtering heat in Louisiana!! I live right on the banks of the Mississippi River so at least I can go fishing!! Give ole Rizzy a pat on the head for me!! GOOD LUCK and GOOD HUNTING!! VERDE!!
