Had to work for half day today at my regular job in san Francisco. After that i was going to bid a job in Sacramento and i knew there were some sports fields by where I was going to be so I brought my detector with me and it turned out well I picked up a 16 reading on the mxt it was a men's wedding band 6.5 grams white gold also found a silver earing marked 925 and some clad.

My detextor goes everywhere with me. I work field service all over wetsern pa, northern wv. And eastern Ohio. And I try to hunt somewhere on my lunch break everyday. You never know when you are gonna come upon a closed down school or abndoned farm house

Sweet, I carry my spare tire while I am detecting. Sadly it is around my middle section, that's why I detect, to try and walk, dig dirt and repeat, hopefully I will wear that tire away.

Would you happen to know if white gold registers lower numbers on the read out than yellow gold of about the same size?

White gold has given me a reading of 16-18 yellow gold usually comes in at 22 or higher.
