me and the Warden went out of town to a casino and she lost her arse. On the way back we went thru Lemoore California just for a change of scenery. Driving by a huge playground people had their children playing baseball team wise. I told her to turn around i saw something far away from the crowd. A large sports bag with nobody around it. We came back and i looked inside the bag. A bat, helmet and street clothes. :icon_scratch: Looking further in the bag i found a I-pad cellphone. My wife is smart and she found the contacts on the phone. One was DAD and i told her to call it. He answered and the Warden told him what we had. He said your in the brown car i will be right there. Ok i could see this man running 500 yards away to his car. Well he drove up and we shook hands giving him his stuff. I got in the car and told the wife he didnt even reward me.:icon_scratch: The Warden told me he has Kids. Ok he aint got no money.

Congrats on the good deed, I never expect a reward. The feeling of doing the right thing is reward enough for me.

Have they closed the Naval Air Station in LeMoore? I was there in the early 70s.

You said, "you won't believe this"

Well, you're not the boss of me so you can't tell me what to do...

I believed it right away.

+1 on the karma scale.

Good on ya.

Good stuff coming your way!

A couple of years ago I was driving my daughter someplace and had to make a right turn. After my turn i stopped the car and she looked at my like I was crazy for just stopping. I said "can you get out of the car and go to the curb, just before I made the turn, and bring me the cell phone?" again I got another "look" but she got out anyway and came back with an older flip phone wondering how i knew it was there.

When we got home i tried the phone and the battery was almost dead. I managed to make one call and the kid's mother answered and was happy and gave me her address a couple blocks away. We returned the phone and the lady actually said thanks.

Another story:
Just two weeks ago I was waiting in line at my local bank. one customer finished and the teller called me to his window. I walked up and noticed a fat wallet right there on the counter. I immediately picked it up and showed the teller (making sure all the bank's cameras could see everything, didn't want to be accused of anything later) after about 15-30 seconds the last customer came up and the teller recognized him and gave him back the wallet. What did the guy do? absolutely nothing, just grabbed it and walked off. Being the jerk I am I said out loud "you are welcome" the teller cracked up! guess they do not teach politeness in south east asia.

Was at the DMV getting my license when I left I found a small but fat purse in the parking lot. So I went to my car and open it up to try and find an ID. The thing was crammed with money. I'm talking about there was well over a thousand dollars in there. Found an ID and went back inside and asked loudly if so and so was there. A women turned around stating that it was she. Gave her the purse and explained that I had opened it to find a name. She just gave me a dirty look and turned back around. The DMV clerk looked at her and then me and told me thank you for being honest. The purse owner never did turn back around.

Maybe the money is from a less than legal business!

Other than that, people can be real jerks at times.
