What is your all time favorite movie and why?

My first thought is "Jeremiah Johnson" and one of the dialogs near the end of the movie where the grizzled old man meets up with Jeremiah after not seeing each other for years(?) and he says, "You've come a long way, Pilgrim."
Jeremiah says, "It feel's like a long way."

Classic!

Your favorites?

Scott

So many lessons in that movie....
Agreed ! One of which is the lesson in fighting ... Who dares ...Wins . ;D

Want to see in to the future of america?,,,,,," A Boy and His Dog " . This is a great movie! Made in the seventys.

My favorite altime line in a movie is. "Tuco",,, If your gonna shoot, shoot don't talk!
Arid.

All those great old westerns with Clint Eastwood and John Wayne are great. So many to choose from, but I still think "Oh Brother, Where art Thou", is the best. I really love that movie. rockhound

Spooky, that is from T.G.B.& Ugly,,,,,Eli Walach same guy. :)

I cant list just one.....
Swing Kids
The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
Enter the Dragon

I could go on forever....

Heat

Deniro and Pacino.

The rest of the cast was pretty good too.

The first I can ever remember rooting for the bad guy in a movie.

The firefight on the streets of LA was epic.

Has any one seen "Circle Of Iron" ? Another classic seventys movie. You guys should check tihs one also.

Exactly! That is My pick also.

There really are too many to choose from, even if you broke it down by category I'd still have several in each one. I think I will go with the quirky little movie "K-Pax", starring Kevin Spacey as a possible being from another world. There were many valuable lessons to be learned in that film.

Honorary mention to: Usual Suspects, American History X, Primal fear and a host of others!!

Omega Man with Chuck Heston. Logan's run. Jessica six was smoking HOT. Almost
all post apocalyptic movies are great.

Any movie starring John Wayne. The Quiet Man and Big Jake are 2 of my more favorites of these.

"I thought you were DEAD." "Not hardly." :laughing7: :laughing7:

Wyatt Earp, with Kevin Costner. And Favorite comedy would be Uncle Buck.

The last of the dogmen.

You know, I like all the movies y'all said, for much the same reasons. But I have to add "Fried Green Tomatoes" and "Driving Miss Daisy" I will stop what I'm doing and sitr down and watch those two over and over.
