Zanesi... Company???

[VOL1266-X]

Does anyone know about the company who manufactured this cast iron piece of cookware or stove. It was dug near a spring where CSA Soldiers camped in Tennessee. Several pieces of iron cookware were dug there. Thanks.

I believe that says Zanes\ , or is it an illusion from the camera angle?

Of course, AU24k is correct. I feel stupid--how obvious now.

I agree Zanesville. Anchor Glass Container Corporation was incorporated in 1997. The only large foundry I can find in Zansville is Burnham but I dont know their history. http://www.burnhamfoundry.com/
