Nothing to report. Went on vacation for Labor Day and no time early week to hunt. Boxes are being held so I should have 4 to search this week. HH!

Great week! Most of th silver came from one roll, it had the 2 90% kennedys and the '62 Canadian. 17 total in that roll. It was a good mix with boxes, teller trays and cwr on the 40%.

Need to update my ounces for the year but creeping toward that 100 oz goal.

14 x 40% half dollars for the two weeks with a dime and quarter to mix in. The quarter came in change at the bank. I asked for halves and they only had one. I gave rise her a buck and she gave me the half and two quarters... One being silver

A teller mentioned a customer brought in grandmas coin collection... I've heard this before... But I listened and she said he kept most of the good stuff but got tired and just started rolling. I bought up everything. Found 2 Rosie's in the dimes but nothing special. The wheats were just typical for about a box searched.
The nickels however were great. There were a ton of pre '60 nickels. I keep better dates but throw a lot back. Did snag 11 war nicks, a few '39 and a '50p (only my 2nd). HH!

Good finds this week. Need a maricle find to hit 100 oz by the end of the year, but you never know with the the holidays. The Canadian silver half was my 3rd, but first from a box. Here's hoping December rocks . HH!

I had a great week with some good boxes and an excellent teller tray score. $5 is AU '64 halves and a '68 mixed in.... but this wasn't an unknowing teller. I have known her for years and she kept them for me. She saw me in line and said "see me before you leave, I've got something for you"

I smiled and thought she would have a dime or maybe a half dollar, she's done it before... but wasn't expecting $10 in 90% halves. I suspect there was more and she held on to a few, but I'm glad she saved a little for me. Always treat your tellers nice and with respect!

This put me much closer to my 100 oz goal - just shy of 10 ounces away. I will need a big week to make it, maybe my boxes will produce a nice score this week, or maybe happen upon some Christmas coin collection dump.

I went on a mini mad dash at the end of the week to see if I could hit my year end goal of 100 oz. I was able to find about an ounce and a half to end the year at just above 92 oz. I'm pretty please with the year and excited to break down the stats. I will have those out tomorrow I hope. Hope everyone had a fun and safe new years!

Summary - Best Finds in 2017 - 2 solid rolls of 40% halves. Teller tray of 10 x 90% halves and 23 Washingtons. Not a whole lot of killer finds, but it all adds up. I did find a little foreign silver - 2 Canadian halves, 1 Canadian quarter and dime, and a 6 pence.

Comparison to last year - I finished 8 ounces shy of last year. My 40%ers were up, but my 90% (halves and dimes were way down - due to some nice solid roll finds in 2016). My average silver per half dollar box was up about 50%, and I searched about 23 more boxes.
