Hello everybody, its so cold here, but i stay out till i can no longer feel the tips of my fingers. I went to a school built in the 50's i think and hit it big time and found a silver rosie an inch down (however, it was in the middle of a well worn mud hole in a kick ball field, so it might have been dropped 50 years ago) also found an out of place clothes weight underneath the sand box. I also got my second silver cross that was almost on top of the ground. also got some older Canadians (1941 and 1938). Then i finally got a half and a Chuck E. Cheese Token plus 3.12 in clad.

Super finds GC. Gotta love that silver!

I'm always looking spots of ground wear. You can often find the old coins right near the surface or even on the surface.

Great winter finds. Thanks for the post and the pictures. Know what you mean but
wet gloves. Mine were so wet today, but couldn't hunt without them. They are now in
the dryer. Have to be ready for the next day when I can hunt.

It just says "sterling" then some makers marks. The other one i found was cool and said "i am a Catholic Please call a preist" which i thought was neat.

Also, the reason i don't were gloves is becuase it's hard to feel around for the item and to pick it up. I'm going to a good site tommarro (friday) and i'm hoping to get some good finds

Nice digs. Cross is cool.

Get some of those mechanics or landscaping gloves. Even if they get wet they make things much more enjoyable.
