If you couldn't then you should, if at all possible then don't, the idea of what is possible never existed beyond the point that only existed in the rated R Disney version of nothing that resembles something if only a failure when starting to test the test of a taste of rum versus water on the look of a bubble gum cherry apple, because if you couldn't then you should understand the confusion of all the possibilities among us that are.

Frankn old friend, you and Vor need to shake this Bean Counter way of thinking about
this Chase game and Fenn or neither of you are ever gong to GET IT! These book sales
are peanuts compared to the millions of dollars Fenn has invested in artifacts and
antiquities that make up his net worth. It is clear to me that Fenn turned beans into a
fortune by growing his net worth not beans.:icon_thumright:

Run the numbers, if you can find them. He owns the publishing co that prints the books, he is getting royalties and he is out there promoting his product . Wouldn't you say he would be better off if nothing is found?

Pretty sure most writers are looking for profit.
I think you guys should break down exactly how much he makes % wise to his pocket, his expenses, costs and to charity so I can pass judgement.
I can't make a fair judgement until I have 100% facts you guys have.

Looks like YOU have to dig those facts if you want to be 100%!

themarkd Your getting defensive! vor didn't say buried in the ground. You could bury it in weeds, or in a cave etc. Buried literally means covered. I doubt someone would leave a treasure chest in the open, uncovered.
touchy, touchy! Frank...

My dictionary states differently. Just going for accuracy so those actually interested have the correct info.

A very sick old man buried a 80 pound treasure. There is water involved, where it stops..........its north of Sante Fe...........

MarkD
If you insist on accuracy; note that I did not make the statement. I only reposted another's quote and inserted the word "claims" as the jury is still out and will probably always be unless we hear a confession.

The inaccurate statement is quoted above.

I am not chasing Fenn's profits on his book sales. That is your and Vor's area of interest.

Maybe I will reconsider and "chase" Fenn's gain from the TOTC. Just maybe.
I copied this from the Canadian National Post. A young reporter interviewed Fenn in
Santa Fe a couple of weeks ago.

"Some people have suggested that Fenn’s treasure doesn’t exist; that it’s an elaborate
hoax to sell books. Fenn says the only people who have doubted its existence are those
who were convinced they knew where it was hidden, spent their holiday looking for it,
but didn’t find it. Besides, he doesn’t profit from the sale of The Thrill. “I don’t
even get my publishing costs back,” he tells me. “How can it be a hoax when I don’t make
any money?”
