Very windy but only got rained on once in my 4.5 hour hunt. Dad only joined me for 1 hour today.

We have had the wettest Jan for 100 years, but at least it was pretty mild for this time of year.

15 Scrappies - takes us to 150 off this field this year!
Tudor Clothes Fastener
Medieval Lead Button
Roman Childs Bracelet fragment
Bit of the kitchen sink..:laughing7:

The best find my second (our third) 18th C Silver Seal Fob - Greyhound running.:headbang:

The seal was found right at the bottom of the hill in the wettest area (big puddle) just at our turn around point. Any further was just too deeper water.

that silver seal is awesome! Congrats on such a nice find.

That's a really nice find ! are there hallmarks on it ?

Another great seal! Congrats! Very cool with the running greyhound. And the biggest button you ever dug? :laughing7:

Wet in England!! Who had "thunk" that :) Congrats on getting your second silver seal in a rather short time, but why did you take a bite out of it! :)

Not a very common thing to find two of in such a short time. Time to cross the gold one off the list!

Seals are always a good find Cru, congrats on a nice clean one.

Now that would be something!

Cheers.

Have you been out lately?

unfortunately not:unhappysmiley:, have snow for some time now, and today was rain that later start freez on ground (snow), so now its snow with crust on top, only left to read forum and reaserch materials and peoples to find some good spots to hunt after snow.

A beautiful find! Do you think there's any possibility of finding the missing piece? Here, there is always a possibility. Things migrate, but unless stuck to a plow, they don't migrate far. It is a needle in a haystack, but you know the needle is in there somewhere. Just wondering if you've ever found the missing pieces of finds in your fields. I know you record your finds by site, so I thought I'd ask.

Another awesome find. Not quite as nice as your last one.
I really want a seal of ANY kind.

My detector is sensitive enough although it will need to be fairly shallow.
