And all the silver was 1900 and earlier. I had been to this site a few times before by myself and found some nice old stuff. This time I brought along a friend.
Andy always shares his sites with me, so I thought this time I would share this one with him.
Soon after arriving at our location, Andy jumps out onto where the sidewalk used to be, and finds the first Indian head cent of the day. Right off the bat!
Not to be outdone, I soon pulled out two Barber dimes from the same hole. After digging a few junk signals I looked up and saw Andy. He was about two blocks down the street. At first I thought to myself:
"He's going kind of fast". "He's going to miss the deeper coins", or:
"He is going for the easy pickings first".
With the latter being the case, it was he who found the Morgan Dollar, The Barber quarter, and the 1852 Bank of Upper Canada token.
Between the two of us we recovered:
1 Morgan Dollar.
1 Barber Quarter.
3 Barber dimes.
1 Seated dime.
2 V nickels.
10 Indian Head cents.
1 Canadian large cent (1902)
An 1852 Bank of Upper Canada token.
1 "Good For" token.
3 old buttons including a Civil war artillery coat button.
A small pile of Wheat cents.
Here is where we detected and some of the finds.
