100 acres...how long

Myself I would start around the houses then go from there and work my way towards the cabin follow the old road if it has one, then check the spring area, like everyone says take your time and work the area slowly and systematiccly. I will be moving back to ohio in july first of august, my whole family loves to detect and there are about 7 altogether so when we hunt it is alot of area... lol you gotta love family "As they say Blood is thicker than water"

Hey MD'ing Zombie, I just joined the board, seeing your search for other MD in the Altoona PA area. I too have been searching for others to share info and conduct group hunts. I'll be back in town next week, currently skimming the beaches at OC, NJ. How can we make contact?

Well, this thread will be a year old on Sunday since the last reply. If you click on MDing Zombie's name next to his posts you'll see a dropdown box with an option for private message. Give that a shot.

Have someone help you measure your side-to-side swing. Then swing a measured 100 feet linear distance. Now, figure that into the area of one acre.... times the area you're talking about. Add to THAT i.d. time and digging time. All I can see is Carl Sagan saying, "Billions and billions!" TTC
