Wow - hard to believe I've hit the 1000 post mark. Just shows how much I love this site!!!

My last few hunts have all been from the campgrounds I continue to hit. I've been hunting these campgrounds for around 18 months now pretty regularly.

My latest hunt was Tuesday of this week. In addition to finding some poison oak yet again (with a small patch really close to my left eye), I got a few cool items. That's the thing I love about these campgrounds - every single time I go I find at least one cool item for my growing display.

Here are the finds from Tuesday's hunt, which included one silver coin - a 1964 Quarter, bringing my silver coin count for the year to 108...

I have no idea what this gilt wing is from, but I sure wish I could have found the rest of it...

This is a stamp of a letter "L"...

My son is a scout and was looking at these pictures with me. He immediately said that Letter L stamp is a stamp for leatherworking. That hadn't occured to me. The one coin shaped emblem that is bent is off of a walking stick. It is bent around the staff to be decorative. Cool finds. I always wanted to find some of that old scouting stuff.

Great post and finds, Jim!!!

You remain the king of slides!

My favorites are the ones from the "Strengthen the Arm of Liberty" campaign.

Keep it up & you'll have to build an addition for your displays - a good problem to have!

THE BEST Boy Scout collection I have seen. Should be a Boy Scout expert on this site......
One thing that comes to mind is, that the Scoutmasters should talk to their Boy Scouts about being careful. Wow!!! They lost a bunch of stuff. :laughing9:
WTG on some very very nice finds.

Outstanding finds, all that in a year and a half. Seems you have found a nice topic to search for. I think the possibilities are endless. I know there are hundreds of campgrounds in each state. Good luck.

Congratulations on your 1000th post and all those finds - great stuff. Boys Scouts of China, Japan, America but I can't see any badges of the Boy Scouts of United Kingdom! Have you found any?
I've found plenty of the 'Girl Guides' in this area but none from the scouts yet.
Best wishes.
:hello2:
p.s Is that snake poisonous?
