I have 126 skunk half dollar boxes so far this year - 44% of all my boxes. If I don't see any enders, I expect a skunk, and am thrilled any time I find silver.

I've been up around that amount. It was this year too. Definitely not the fun part of roll hunting, but an obvious reality that skunks happen.

I'd say hang in there, but ultimately it's really your choice.

I can't swear I would keep doing this if I had some of the skunk streaks folks are reporting here. I'm just getting into this and found one 90% half in two boxes. I will stick with the boxes but keep it low-volume, mainly because I don't have a great dumping plan yet. I found another 90% in loose teller halves. I sometimes think about keeping things limited to loose teller halves and CWRs. I may never build a big stack this way, but it might have the right trade off (for me) in terms of time and money devoted to halves compared to the odds of finding something.

The amount you find is not directly proportional to the time spent searching. It would be nice it if were.
