I only had a few minutes today to hunt the site where I found the gold chain yesterday.
I quickly got out to the spot and started swinging.
I picked up 2 Memorials and a junk bolt thing of some sort. Then I dug a zinc fruit jar lid as I almost always do at this site.
I dug a few pieces of foil and trash and then I knew I had to get to my appointment. Just at that time I got another hit I thought was another Memorial. I dug down only about 2 inches and out popped a coin. Immediately I realized it was too thin to be a Memorial or Wheat. I spit on it and did the rub thing and I could see it was an Indian.
I had to leave but as soon as I got home I washed it off and scanned it so I could read the date. WOW! My second 1865 Indian this year!
It's pretty worn and I haven't scanned the back yet but I like it.
Oh well, not much but I just had to share this.
