lettering is same font style... AS SUGGESTED...
I pulled up on 40 sony high res monitor and then zoomed in...
I see it but I don't...
almost like shopped... NOT THAT IT IS OR WAS...
it is almost there... but cannot peg it...

BTW great eyes/catch potent.

I took alook at where it is thought to say copy and it is actually tiny divots caused by wear and dirt

That def looks like a Y and something in front of it. The crack is concerning. A silver coin normally doesn't have that sort of thing happen. Ok let me step back and say welcome to the forum my friend. I love that you're young and passionate about old coins. That's really cool. Do you metal detect? It's a great way to start a nice coin collection. It's hard with these really old coins as they were crude to start with. There's a couple of guys on here who have a ton of experience and really know their stuff. They seem to think it's fake and they are right 98% of the time. That said I would tell mom or dad to take you to a reputable coin dealer. Do a little homework first and see who locally is knowledgeable with early colonial silvers. Holding a coin in your hand makes it much easier to make an accurate assessment. Regardless which way it goes were happy to have you. Never hesitate to ask lots of questions. There are some legitimate experts on here that i trust completely. When I found my tree coin the first thing I did was contact a member on here for advise on how to clean my coin without screwing it up. He gave me great advise and I was beyond happy with the result. If I found an $88,000 coin I would do the same. Lots of coin dealers are completely clueless when it comes to colonials and cleaning methods. Where do you live my friend?
