Insane ! Next year you should try for 5,000 Silver Coins....

Congratulations,

Keep @ it and HH!!

Congrats again Gregg, I followed your posts and was convinced you'd succeed in your goal of 10k coins. This is truly a huge achievment in this hobby, and extremely worthy of being shown on the Banner or Best Finds section. Moderators and members, please give this man the recognition he deserves for his effort.

Congrats on your milestone Gregg, awesome total.

Nat

P.S. If you hear a loud crash in the middle of the night, your table collapsed :D

Gregg,
Congratulations. You are one determined man and awesome coinshooter.

Take a day off go out and get yourself a nice big steak at the local steakhouse and pay the bill with some dirty dug coins. Enjoy.

Great Job Gregg ;D

Whats the odds another company like Minlab or Garrett will let you use DFX for 2008 season ? ::)

So... what kind of detector is it that you use agian DFX-Gregg??? ;D ;D

Smiles!!!

Just stopping back in to get another look at that table full of goodies.
Wooo-fricking-whooo!!!!!!! That's a lot of loot!!
Awesome deal again dude, way to strive for and reach your goal!!

:)

Way to go Gregg. Absolutely AWESOME!. I knew you could do it. I still say that this is magazine material. I got a new 1 day record earlier this month, 221 coins in about 5 1/2 hours of hunting, $13.08 total. I do not think i could do it once a week for a year, let alone to 10 K. After all that training you should try a few seeded hunts, I bet you would clean up.

congratulations on your goal, you sure did a number on those coins, possible we can get a group picture of your old coin finds, take care tg

That's freaking cool man, congratulations. I had no doubt you would do it, and you found some Gold rings too.

Thanks again....responding on 4 different forums gets confusing...but some asked to see the wheaties close up and the few silver coins I did find, as well as the piles labeled...well I could not remember who asked what where... :D so if any of those questions were here...here are the requested pics...

Fantastic! Fantastic! Fantastic!!!! Those are some great pics, and you earned evey single one of those. Now you can slack off a little since the goal has been met. What ya going to cash in on? Send those pictures to Whites and receive a $100.00 gift certificate. Either me or BootyBay have the persons address to send them too to get a VERY quick response, just PM me. Way to go, and Congrats!!!!

wow, are you retired? ???

Where in the world do you hunt, you must have cleaned out every park in a 20 mile radius.
Will now take years to get filled back up with change..feel sorry for the next guy hunting in one
of your spots. Nothing but dirt for him ;D

I never believe a place is empty around here...if that was my attitude I would never have made it! I mainly worked 10-15 parks...at the end I added 3. I hunted normally up to 4 hours max. Did have a few longer hunts....but you are right a certain radius...more like 10 miles. There are a lot of parks for me. Before the season I did find the 50 closest parks in a twenty mile radius and picked 10 to focus on. I have one by my house that was getting replenished every two to three weeks with surface clad....Sports very very big in parks here with adults at a lot of games. Most of the parks set up concession stands and set up in grass. Always quarters, dimes by them.

I work midnights and get off at 8am. My wife after working 20 years was able to stay home with the kids. That was the key reason I got back into detecting, I knew I would have the time during the week in the mornings. Alot of guys just hunt the weekends.... by being able to hunt on Monday...my favorite day to hunt and just about always my most productive... I would clean up after the sports madness here and kids partying in the parks at night time. I usually did not hunt the weekends....The people that detect would have to hurry before the games started and have limited places due to games, picnics and so on.

As far as other people hunting...during the year I did see a few guys and talk to a couple. I even watched a few...a couple just hit tot lots, one guy was so slow at recovery, another guy did what someone on a forum told me is called a smiley face swing...he would swing the coil in the shape of a smile...coil would only be near ground when directly in the middle of his body....otherwise up to 6-8 inches from ground at least.... I know there are a ton of great hunters out there...but these guys left me thinking in the parks they hunted there is plenty for me....Thanks...
