Nice find now get back in the hole and find the rest of it! :) Thanks for sharing...

Great find. It seems the cut coins come out of the ground much more often in the south than the north. Nice save.

Awesome find, congratulations! :occasion14:

That is cool you have most of the date remaining.

I'm happy for you and jealous all at the same time. I've been detecting in Raleigh for a long time and never found a colonial coin here. You should be proud of that find.

Dammit I need to find one of those!!! Congrats!!!

Welcome to TNet.

Absolutely awesome find. Congrats on the almost 300 year old silver.

Congratz! That is an awesome bucket list find!

Found in the dirt makes it better ... very interesting slice .

Congratulations! Welcome to the Kut Koin Klub :occasion14:

That is probably because most things have always been more expensive in the North and down South, it didn't and still doesn't take the whole Kit N Caboodle to purchase the same things.:dontknow:

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the old silver

Nice find! There's good stuff in the Old North State!

Nice! I really like cut Spanish!

Hi Frank; You ain't kidding. Here in Boston the avg Rent is $2200 - $ 2700 a Month. That's for a 1 - 2 Bedroom apt. PLUS they want the First Months, Last Months Rent and a Security Deposit of 1 Months Rent. A Criminal Records Check, CORI, and 4 References. You need 10K just to move in. That does not include Utilities either. Milk here is $ 4.80 in most places and bread is $3.50 a loaf for the junk breads. CRAZY. The YUPPIES started moving here in the 90's and it's been down hill ever since. The avg Monthly Cost of Living here bis $4500. Folks are leaving Boston & the State in droves. It's really sad. I don't know anyone from my boyhood home in South Boston. The Old South Boston, Southie, is gone. It hurts to see it. So much for Progress. PEACE:RONB
