Congratulations on the find! Both obverse and reverse must be identified to get the variety, can't get it from one side. The variety is a combination of the obverse and reverse dies.

Sorry to say it just isn't going to happen from the pictures. Connecticuts can be very tricky and it is the slightest details that make the identification. Maybe in hand you can look at it at various angles and make something out but you might have to be content to just know it is a Connecticut.
