1791 Silver in the ground

Whilst out today on an old view point site above a 15th century monastery I wrestled this beauty from only 2" with my old 6000 di3. Not bad for 10 mins wandering. Any ideas of its worth?

I originally got it as its belt mounted & it would ease an old injury. Still digging all at the moment, but its already increased my hammered count & is good on small romans, in heavy coke & iron patches & slightly better depth. Although its not depth you need on UK ploughed fields, its speed of recovery & pace.

Yep, would be different except for the patches of iron. My fields generally just have one hot spot where the house stood and covering the rest of the field usually doesn't get you a whole lot. Some day I might get over!

Nothing wrong with that old 6000. I met an old man (I'm and old man , but this guy was a real old man), who hunted a site with me and he kicked my butt with his old 6000! I had a new super whiz bang detector with all the buttons and whistles. Great coin, keep after it. Monty
