I found this in the same field as my first 2 cent. The field had a house from the late 1700s and has giving many great finds.Just wanted to share this as it is one of my greatest finds I never thought I woul find I but I was lucky I found them both 20 min apart.Hope you can see them ok there are no scratches or dents it is a beautiful coin for being plowed for 200 years.

Re: 1848 SEATED HALF DIME - Wow, Digger

Looks like a home run to me. I still have never found a half dime and I have been hunting for about 30 years. I am finally getting closer but half dime and a nice three cent piece are real tall on my wish list.
Way to go, congrats, she is a beauty.
