1850's FARM HUNT YIELDS OLD SILVER & MORE

Went dirt fishin on an old 1850"s farm today - had my eye on it for 3 yrs waiting for permission to hunt - bank took it over and said "go for it". Am going back later this week as I'm just getting started on the 10 acres of land

Dude, if that's the start you should be in for a good ride.

You still using a Garrett?

Bob

The only Garrett I'm using at this time is the ace 250 as a back-up machine - I sold my GTI 2500 a while back. I used my trusty Fisher CZ20 on this farm but am looking to buy a relic machine very soon for future use/hunts (will most likely buy another Minelab).

Yes - seems very similar - mine doesn't have any #s or writting on it though,

any idea on what it is??

Yep, "Watercolor" ID'd it in my post as a handle from a surveyors chain. Check it out:

I haven't had a Honey spot like that for numerous years- You will probably hit some large cent-I would hunt in all metal and if in discrimate I would turn it down to about foil and dig, since the dirt might have some moisture from the winter.Nice Detecting-Goldnugget=Charlotte, N C
