So I went for a quick hunt to the site I found last month where Ive been digging lots of mostly Braided hair large cents. Also got two worn Spanish as well as an 1853 trime. Didnt find any keepers last hunt here for the first time so wasn’t expecting much. I knew this site , though, was a prime candidate for an early seated half dime or even a gold dollar. Sure enough luck would strike again for a third time with another beautiful 1852 gold dollar:hello2:

Awesome find! I can't imagine how that would feel to find a gold coin! Let alone 3......

Congrats on fantastic find !
Did you find it with the Deus or Nox - what Target ID numbers did it come in on ?
Nox 600 VDI 11-12. Just like a nickel but a slightly softer tone. I dug the plug. Signal was in plug so I kicked it and the coin flew a few feet away Even managed to give it a tiny kiss on the rim:BangHead:

Fantastic find! And in beautiful condition! Thank you for sharing with us all!

Wow! beautiful coin! I doubt I'll ever find a gold coin.
Probably not one larger than a dollar but I think Ive proven that these little coins saw significant use in the 1850s

Its a beauty, congrats

What a wonderful site to behold ! ! !
Correct me if I'm wrong but ^ at the top of the green area above the number is a " BANNER VOTE " if that is correct you have mine Toasted. Once again

That is a beauty, congrats and the best of luck getting #4 soon.

Freaking incredible, a triple gold from the same location!! BANNER VOTE! What type of site was this?

No career gold coin #3. I dont think it was a homesite though I did find a circa 1800 homesite nearby. No idea what went on here but money was certainly changing hands circa 1840s and 50s
