1875-CC Seated

[smartmoney]

Well after doing a little research the night before I headed out to a field that I found on an old map dating from the turn of the century. It was right in a residential neighborhood but it was never built on. I found 5 coins in an hours time before being told that the land was private property. I found 2 buffalos, 1 wheatie, an 1898 barber dime and an 1875-cc seated dime. Both coins were 7-8" down.

WTG...Nice find!

I'd love to find a CC

Doesn't that just frustrate you. I have found several sweet spots that are just abandoned lots or parks and been told that I could not detect there. I still walked away with what I found but still....I live near SE VA. and there are so many historic sites and areas around here but so many are private. Great finds! Congrats!

Congrats. I think seateds have to be my favorite coins.

Really cool! I hope to find a "cc" on the back of one of my coins someday.....
