1900's Building - Hunt #2
Went back to the place that me and Mastereagle hunted last Thursday.
Here is the link to the first hunt:

This is a building that was built around 1900. I asked him to go with me, but he was at the store holding his wife's purse.
As they say, no place is ever hunted out. I hunted for about 3 hours and dug out lots of trash. Someone has run over a soda can an cut it into dime sized pieces and scattered it over most of the back yard. I probably dug up enough to make the top half of the can. The rest will have to stay "in the way" until next time.
I managed to find a few decent items. I dug the first ring (which has no stone) in the back yard. I first thought was just a gumball machine ring. It does, however, have some kind of marking in it, as pointed out by Mastereagle. It is only gold plated though. An hour or so later, I dug up the other ring and thought sure it was a solid gold ring. It wasn't to be though...it was only plated. I think it is old though and has a small purple (amethyst?) stone in it. I was still really happy to find it. I really like the decorative broach or hair clip with the stones. I thought it was a neat find. I almost didn't dig all three of these signals, since they were such a low tone on the detector. One thing is certain, I will dig everything that is repeatable in the older properties...you just never know.
Everything:

The good stuff:

The coin was a wheatie (1953D):

Check out this clover leaf pin that is marked Sterling. Totally Unreal that I found it on the Eve of St Patricks Day! It is missing the pin on the back, but was cool non the less. Anyone know what the letters stand for? I think it had enamel in two of the clover leaves at one time:

It was cool to find these two knives. I believe the one is really an old one.

What the heck is this thing? Any ideas?

Here is the marking inside the ring (gold plated) with the stone:

All and all I had a great time and found a few items. I know there are more signals, and Mastereagle and me are going tonight to see what else we can find.
I got into work this morning and showed my finds to Mastereagle who didn't get to go last night. He just yelled "YOU SUCK" and ran away crying. Gosh, he sure is sensitive.
