Went and hunted a vacant lot with sjvalleyhunter last night. Didn't find much but did end up with an old pad lock, $100 peso and a 1909 IH penny "s" mint! I'm happy.

I was lucky enough to find a vdb '09. I would love to find it's counterpart like you did. And in great shape to boot!

Nice score!!!

Nice! A 1909s in the g4 condition is $550. I'd say you've got yourself a Ef-40 so about $825.00. At least the red book says so! Congrats!!

I found a 1909 almost in that shape, buuutttt.... Somebody had shot it.. At least it wasn't the San Fran mark. Just an 09'

Wow!! That would be cool being a Philadelphia 1909, for those are even rare, but 1909s is an incredible key date worth undreds of dollars! Congrats on the key date indian!

Thanks everyone. I'm still a little excited finding it.

Sonofagun, that's a great find! Outstanding condition! You must have some kind soil around there. Ours is like battery acid.

Thanks. The soil isn't too bad out here.

Congrats thats a killer indian!

Thanks

Great find. Not many of those "S" mint marks around here. I only need 4 indian head cents to complete the set. Still lacking 1866, 1877 and both "S" mint marks !

I don't know how this slipped past me, I love Indian Head Cents, great find, congrats!

That's a heck of a collection. Hope you complete it.
