image-477581283.webp image-2764981683.webp Found this in August but I just wanted to show it off a bit. First Barber anything and I'm really happy with the finished product.

Edit: Photo taken by my phone through a magnifying glass which makes the coin look really rough. For being found 3 inches down in a dirt parking lot at the park it's not too bad.

Great find!! I just found my first Barber quarter, a 1912. Congrats and HH

Looks amazing!! Very nice detail! Did you just use water or did you use a different method of cleaning?

Thank you! I originally just used water, then soap and water, then a tiny bit of baking soda and water to make a paste to get the little toning that was blotchy. Yes, it leaves micro scratches but for coins with no value I'd rather display them cleaned personally. To each his own.

The silver here in NEPA comes out of the ground pretty bright already. Copper on the other hand comes out toasted almost every single time.

Does not look rough to me...looks beautiful! Go get more like it!! HH
