Found one this weekend, it’s pretty crusty. I’ll post pics in a bit

Any suggestions on how to clean it?

If it's the greenish black crud I normally use a toothbrush and warm water. Then let it dry for a bit and pick off the remaining stuff with a toothpick. Most of the time it flakes right off.
