Another gorgeous mid February day. Got out this am with high expectations. They were met!!

When I dug this up, I saw the outline and thought it was a kids badge for a second. Took the sunglasses off and OMG!! A 1921 automobile license!! A first for me. Totally excited about it

A couple hours later, dug this super nice silver ring! Best morning hunt ever. Sorry for all the exclamation points but they were needed for my excitement.

Wow that ring is very impressive !!!! Wonder if that stone is real. I love both those finds . Great work uncovering them.

I'd swear that stone looks like a ruby of exceptional quality. That would be amazing. I would take it to a jewler to find out
The way that stone glows makes me think it could be the real deal ? Can you post a pic of the back of the ring showing the bottom facets of the stone ? Lot of beautiful pieces with stones being found this week.

No silver paint or foil. Thats a good sign !! Less likely to be costume. It sure is nice pigeon blood red !!
