Still pulling silvers out from that lake, when I seen that Walker in my scoop I couldn't believe it. I had just pulled two old nickels knowing one was a 1940, I knew I was dancing around a War nickel, then out pops the half, sweet They are one of my favorite designs for US coins. I was one hour into the hunt, then spent another hour with my last target being the 1963 Rosie.
That was my second half at that site, the other was a 1951 Franklin Half

Enjoy the pix

Congrats on the BIG silver. Glad that the water is producing for you! I laughed when I read "hillbilly zapper". GL&HH.

A walker is number 2 on my list right below a gold coin as far as what I want to dig the most . I love that design and think it is one of the nicest looking coins minted . Congrats

Nice work! You might want to try the baking soda/aluminum foil method to clean your tarnished silver. Works great for me, and doesn't remove silver like electrolysis does.

Thanks BB, When I first started finding silver there, I found a Franklin Half. I also found a Merc that first day (I think) Any how, That was when I first ever dealt with a coin that tarnished. I did the foil method and could not get all of it off. All the coins and jewelry must be going through electrolysis naturally, being in the water and in the dirt on the bottom. They all have that look of they have been melting off metal over the years. I zap them for one minute then clean with the paste. Here is a link to that thread, I know I tried a Merc that I found later that wouldn't come clean. If you look at the pix you'll see how the coin is already damaged from the water.
