Hello!

I took a drive up north today with my daughter. She got all registered for school ~ she's going to Western Oregon University this fall. While she was doing her official business I took off and found a place to go detecting!
I ended up with some clad and a few wheat cents ~ plus some real goodies! 1944-s Merc Dime ~ 1909-s Barber Quarter ~ 1936 Walking Liberty Half dollar ~ toy gun (not all broken up like usual) ~ and a medal thingy.

Anyone know what this medal thing came off of? There's not lettering on the front, but the back reads, "WHITEHEAD & HOAG CO. ~ NEWARK, N.J.".

Thanks for looking!
Neil

Congrats on the silvers and the toy gun.
Think Coldshuz nailed the mystery item.
Gold Nuggets :hello:

Those are some nice digs! Love the silver but the gun and pendant/pin are sweet too. Hope they clean up nice for you. HH

How do you do it? I'm a fellow NW'er and I'm lucky to find one of those coins after tons of failed attempts and leads! You go out on a whim and kill it! I am in awe, excellent job!
