🏆 HONORABLE MENTION 1966 Rockport High School Ring Found 30' Deep

I found this ring in a quarry while scuba diving with an underwater metal detector. Back in 1966 kids jumped off the cliffs into the water. It has long been closed to swimming and is now a state park. The water is cold and dark with very large black eels swimming around. It's in Rockport Massachusetts. The ring has initials in it so we were able to track down the owner. I called Rockport High School and they told me who owned it and that the owner had gone to her 50th High School Class reunion. They mentioned that she lived in Philadelphia. I had a friend track down her family. She has a son that lives in New Hampshire so I called him. You can imagine his surprise when I told him the story of his moms ring. The best part is that she does not know yet and that the ring will be returned to her this New Years Eve by her son and granddaughter. SURPRIZE!!! ................After 60 years this Rockport High School Ring was just was reunited with the original owner!

This story was printed on the front page of the Glouster times,January 15.2026. It was also printed in a few other local papers with a nice vidio clip, "Across decades and States, ring returned to owner" is the name of the article. Gail did a nice job on the articla.
