1976 half dollar

Are 1976 halves worth keeping? I saw someone keeping them and one site I found listed them as worth 2.00 in poor condition. I know they have no silver content but are they really worth more and why?

Some 1976S are 40% silver, the rest are worth 50 cents each.
If someone will give you $2 for 1976 half dollars........TAKE IT!

Was the site CoinTrackers? They are very inaccurate. Throw all the 1976s back, unless they are silver.

For some odd reason people hoard those. Also, the bicentennial quarter.

I got three full rolls of those from my bank last week or so. I guess on eBay you can get like 15-20 for a roll of '76 non silvers.
