1982 -d chrome? lol

Going through pennies today and spotted what I thought was the usual dime . Noticed lincolns head then thought wow unc. steelie. flipped over saw memorial and date was 1982-d. I am telling you this coin looks like it was made this way it is like unc. but chrome silver miirror finish. thought painted but it is no way painted i looked it over real good looks like it left the mint this way. Any ideas?? Id post a pic but still green at the pic taking and getting transfered. Dave

People coat coins for what ever reason. Today I found a gold plated penny (but the plating was half worn off so I just tossed it into the dump bag. I also found a mercury dipped clad half dollar last year.
