1983 D unplated planchet

Tonight, at work, I found what I thought was a zinc penny. I picked it up and took it home.

Now, I see it is a 1983 D zinc (unplated) planchet.

I've looked around and seen a few other types, but not this date.

Anyone got any ideas? Have you seen one of that date? Is there a good place to look? I've checked three or four of the websites that specialize in error coins, but, none of that date.

I am not sure about this particular date but unplated zinc cents are arround. I have seen a few of them. Different dates than yours though. Depending on condition they are usually worth a few bucks.
