Hello everyone, I have to admit here in the Northeast were enjoying the 50° weather, actually I think Saturday was 60° and we got out hunting.

Saturday I went with Don-in-Brewster, Charles, and Mike, to Don's favorite old park. I managed to get three cool keepers. Two Indianhead penny's 1881 and 1884. Another really cool find was a two piece presidential campaign button from 1888 when President Grover Cleveland was running for reelection with his running mate Alan Thurman. I have searched the Internet and have not found another button like it, any information would be appreciated.

Today Sunday, I went out in the woods and found an assortment of items, a nice small colonial era flat button which is very thin and has a design or script writing on it. I also found a really cool looking two-piece button about the size of a large cent with a face and angel wings, any information on the button and would really be appreciated I also might list it in the "what is it" section.

I am really stoked to finally find a bucket list coin, my first Seated Liberty Quarter 1876 !
It was such an exciting find for me.

Enjoy the photos and happy hunting.

grats on the bucketlister and the rest of the loot. quarter is in great shape too - bonus!!

The button is the cream of the crop in my opinon. It's a Script 2nd regimental Artillery button from the war of 1812 period. Congrats on the bucket list seated and the awesome button!

Great digs! A beauty of a button, and a great centennial quarter! Congrats!

That seated quarter is great, but I think the button might be the star of the show.

The Scrip A is the star of the show,
Great find!

I'm with the fellas above. The star! That button is rare and much older than that seated. Some incredible finds aren't even on our radar sometimes!

Congrats

Congratulations on the cool finds! The button finds are very interesting and possibly historical significant. :occasion14:

Embarrassing enough is that's the second time with me, remember I didn't realize the significance of the USA button at first? Well at least we are recovering and saving history that probably would never have been found.

That is some great finds you have! Good looking quarter!!! Buttons are awfully nice as well!! Congrats! :occasion14:

Oh I got you beat, or at least on par. I posted 4 GW buttons and didn't realize. Anywho...

I don't own the Alberts button book but I did find a 2nd Regiment artillerists button and mine has an "RA" over a "2". Now I'm not sure but I think yours was produced just after 1812, but perhaps someone can chime in that has the book.

By what matters is its OLD and the dude that wore these buttons shot CANNONS!!! Lol
