Detector(s) used
CTX 3030
Pro-Find
Primary Interest:
All Treasure Hunting
Well I went & finally got my new detector & was eager to get it out for a test. I went to a house that was abonded & a park that I frequent. I used the stock coil & a sunray probe.

At the house, I found an old padlock & a 1918 wheat, & an old spoon. I was digging 7,8,9 inch signals & I have to invest in a new shovel, the detector is finding coins deeper than I can dig. I don't recall digging this deep before.

At the park, I found alot of clad coins, a plated pendant, & a 1953 dime 7 inches deep.

I read so many posts of how deep this machine goes, but until you get one in your hands, dig a signal, dig a 6 inch plug, & the coin is still deeper is crazy.

I don't feel the machine is too hard to understand. I had a Dfx for years, & there is a 1/3rd less controls to worry about.

Congrats, Don, on striking silver your first time out. I have a feeling you are going to be making some great finds with your new machine. As for digging tools, I use the lesche digging tool. It's awesome!!! Extremely hard to break.
