2 boxes of halves tonight.

So after last weeks 1 box with 25 keepers, I was pretty excited. I got two boxes from this bank instead of one like last week. I first look for enders before opening any, (who else does this)? Out of two boxes, there was only 1 ender although it was a franklin, which is always a plus. After both boxes were said and done, I had 16 keepers. 3 of which were 90%'ers,(2 franklins, 1 '64 Ken) and 13 40%'ers. I was happy to add to the pile even though the results werent nearly as good as last weeks box.

I had a question, when you guys talk about ordering a bag of halves, I always pictured loose... Is this the case? Or is it 100 rolls in a bag?

Damn, excellent results. Order 10 boxes before ya get skunked

For the bags, where are you buying them from? From the bank directly from the coin counter? Or are they ordering?

My credit union supposedly won't order boxes of halves, only canvas bags of loose halves. I assume the manager is right about it because she let me order $700 worth of halves rather than $500 or $1000. I guess I'll see when they get here.

I have now ordered from two different banks in the same town, both provide halves in sealed plastic bags, rolled coins, $500 each. Nothing on the bag to denote where they originated or even the name of the bank I am getting them from.

I am getting them from a credit union, and yesterday when i went to pick up the 2 boxes I ordered, they were in ONE bag. 100 rolls in one bag, so later on as I was thinking about it, I got to wondering if those were the $1000.00 bags you guys were talking about. CaptnDoug. I too could not find anywhere on the roll, or the bag that would indicate where they came from. It is interesting. I have no idea, and when I asked the teller who ordered them for me, she had no idea either :icon_scratch:
