Well, if you read my 2007 totals post, you know my goal for this year is 100 rings! I found 4 this week. 2 gold & 2 silver. I found all of them at the lake park where I know people have been swimming for over 40 years. I've included several pics. The first one I wanted to show how many pulltabs I was willing to pick up in search of the 14k gold ring w/ruby. Then I found a 1964 ladies class ring. I also found two silver rings. I found 1 wheatie, 1944. I also found a fisherperson who used a quarter and a dime as sinkers! My dad told me it is actually cheaper than the other tackle.....
I found a very small pendant. It doesn't say gold on it anywhere, but looks like gold. My husband suggested brass. How can I tell?

My coin totals for the week(no pics): By the way, how do you guys get your totals at the bottom of your posts? Do you type them everytime?

.25 - 17
.10 - 36
.05 - 17
.01 - 112

I am pretty happy. Four down, 96 to do for my 2008 goal!

Thanks for looking and happy hunting.

What a great start! I have no doubt you'll make your goal.

Hard to tell sometimes about gold if it's not stamped..I took a big nugget ring (with no markings) to a jeweler that had no markings on it and it turned out to be nickel/silver with gold overlay.

Wow, Iskuli if you keep that success rate up you'll break the 200 mark! Really nice rings too, I think you're gonna need an extra hand model this year. Keep swingin.

WTG!! You're off to a great start! Love that Class Ring and the money used as a sinker is too funny! :D :D Neat how they're both together like that. That's just how I'd keep em too!

They use their totals as their signature. Browse through your personal settings, and you'll find the signature field somewhere. Type your totals in, and they show up automatically in your posts. Simple as that. :)

It's definitely hard work to get those keepers and it's well worth all of the pulltabs that you end up digging. Fantastic Hunt.
