So theres this old mill site that I pounded last year. Found a few large cents here and some nice relics and Injuns. Decided to come back and just dig out all the overload signals and iron in the section right in front of the Mill foundation to see whats been missed. The 2nd pic is the section I was working when the sky just openned up and dumped on me
I managed to get a few shots of the site that didnt come out too dark. found whats left of a long horn belt bucle, a squooshed crotal, a rein guide and 2 wheels from some Hubley cars. The Injuns are 1903 & 1898, A 1919 wheat and a 27 buffalo....I know its not much, but once I remove more iron im sure more will be found. This site was a saw mill in the early 1800s and A seamstress shop in the late 18-early 1900s. My research tells of many people working here and the women that cooked and fed those workers every day, A very busy little spot with many other house foundations nearby. Lots and lots of nails and little bits of wire from fencing is what most of the iron is so its going to take some time...wish me luck.
