I'm lovin' the research. I also appreciate how demonstrate that not all sites are going to pay out big. I think some people get discouraged by research not paying out, and the guys that score big spend countless hours researching with many flops. I'm at 2 for 10 with research this year.

Anyway, cool research and hunt bud .

If you like stories about sites that produce nothing, I can write you a book!

Twenty minutes!?!? I don't see how you do it, Jeff! :dontknow:

It takes me 15 mins to suit up and turn into detector man when I get there, then another 15 to unsuit when finished! ;)
20 mins! That's not even enough time to start! LOL

Great post Jeff! Love the research.

Many spots are picked very clean. You go in and find a dirty wheatie, and somebody smugly says "ya can't get it all", but dammit, Jim, you only found one dirty wheat penny.

Have you considered wandering in the woods looking for errant silvers?

yea, did a little woods hunting where we could get in, but no luck

It gets harder and harder to find spots that haven't been hunted to death. Even the spots that have not been hunted ( according to the owners anyway ) only give up mid and low tones like they were cherry picked back in the day. I think this week coming up is supposed to be a little cooler for us Jeff.

any place I get a pre 1940 wheat - will always go back to cause I feel there is silver there

One thing I have found that might help is talking to farmers or who ever works the feilds. "Hay you ever see any areas in any feilds with brick and glass scattered about"? When I was younger I remember a local farmer was plowing out in the middle of nowhere and he must of broke through the cap to a well, almost sucked his tractor down. Turned out was an old long forgotten homestead. In recent years I got permission and made lots of nice finds from that spot by just remembering the story how Bobs tractor got sucked down a sinkhole out in a feild.
